Woaah...I now have my blog...but wot do I write about...n, am I gud enuf to write something that ppl ll bother to read??
It all started with a fren of mine just blurting out..."why dont u try writing dearie...I think u shd..." Well, she just felt am gud at it, going by my intranet chatting...that's fine...but general writing?? They are totally different things...I mean, wot do I even write about...
There comes into picture, the "ex-title" of my blog..."Daily Dreams." Haha...ya..thats wot I had thot of as the title for my blog...How misleading it wud be...WTH wud I write everytime abt dreams...na...not apt!! But it cud be a topic for my first blog post...
Must share this thou...the first thing that my insanely idiotic, but best fren (ab dost ko gali nahi dungi, toh aur kise dungi yaar?) commented on the title was.."Thank God, U dint name it : Day-Dreaming !!" grrrrrrrrrr...Do I look like "Mungerilaal" with sunehere sapne??? :P Frens are mad!! aren't they?? So am I ;)
Haha...so, here it is....
"I was walking in the park, holding someone's arms, caring nothing abt the world...happy n filled with joy. Both of us were smiling n laughing...her free-let hair covered her face...just when I was about to brush the hair aside n look at her face, the cell phone rang, n it was all over....now, I ll never know how beautiful she looked...!!! " Typical guy-dream.. ;) haha...Must have listened to "mere khwabon mein jo aaye" before going to bed..but was there a male version of it too??? ;P
Hmm...I mean... Are Dreams just visuals that we experience when v r asleep? Or do they mean anything else at all...They say its the subconscious mind at work....Well, I am not going to get into logic n reasoning of sleep-associated dreams...There r lot of books that wud enlighten those of us interested in it..As I write this, therez a sudden urge of picking one such book asap...I kind of have a fancy for these kind of subjects...that make one think n reason out..n finally have a "maybe/may not be" conclusion..hehe..The unsolved mystery/puzzle interests me..
We all dream...dream... every day...every moment...We dream, we desire, we hope, we aim, we wish....Almost everything in life that we do, is first conceptualized or dreamt about n then acted upon..
The best thing about dreams are that they are not the same...Wot each one of us wish for is different at different stages of life...
As a little kid, a girl wud have dreamt or desired for a cute little doll or.. even just a lollipop...A cute little pink frock she saw beyond the window panes of a glittery shop..or maybe a little boy's dream of a kite, computer games, or a RED car...haha...Little boys r in love with the colour red as much as the little angels adore pink...
Dad casually announces that he ll take us to an entertainment park that weekend...n there wud begin visualizing enjoying the rides n screaming at the top of our voices..binging on cotton candies, popcorns, n cone ice creams at an "Appu Ghar" or a "Wonderla"...
At that age, dreams or desires or wish-lists are simple n cute...and as we grow, they grow too....Our brain makes no developmental delay, n neither do they in getting more complex...
Enter teenage, n there are loads n loads of dreams...probably the best phase of life...cos that is the age when v know things, yet v dont actually know them...V dream n plan...n mind u, v dream it all big!!! Be it going to the best schools n being a topper, or be it pursuing hobbies n taking them forward professionally...Wanting to become a movie star or to soar the skies on a fighter plane...Its the last stage of innocence...n the first stage of adolescence..where having crushes is the most common thing....where for the first time v blush when v hear a romantic song...Its that age which probably is the constructive phase...n defines the nature or individuality of a person...and thereby shaping ones life...
Dreaming is kind of registering things that we want to achieve, in our subconscious mind..n that in return, makes us work towards conquering them...
As said earlier, dreams change at every stage of life....
Aiming to get the dream job, be successful, rich, famous...Wanting to lose those extra kilos n look fab....Hoping to be..n..to get a wonderful "humsafar"... Wishing to own a house...Desire to go round the world...Dreaming of a blissfully happy life with kids n gud health till the end of life...
Anything....just Anything...
They walk with us all along our lives, these Dreams...filling our lives with hopes n joys...
Day after day, minute after minute, they give us reasons to live on...to strive hard..
Acting as lanterns on a dark n endless road, they show us the path to a beautiful life...
More importantly, to live a life of our choice...
Life is Meaningless Without Dreams....So Lets Dream On....n Make Our Dreams Come True :)
P.S.:

ReplyDeleteHey Vidya. I really liked your first post. This is probably the second post that I read through to the end, usually I don't (you know why) and this kept me reading till the end. I do agree with your thought, dreams show us ways of life. Will be waiting to see more from you. Good luck. - Steve
